its crazy how different all these missions can be depending on what you do in the previous ones. I only had two Panzer 4 in this one but way less allied forces.

I'm curious to see what a winning defense would look like here. How do you defend when the enemy has such overwhelming number and they simply destroy the little cover you have? Without them being able to set up in those woods and create defense in depth overnight, being cornered in a little killzone like this seems like a near-impossible defense.

I know I'm a bit late for this thread but being new to CM .. this is good game play. Can someone tell me if this is being played as turn-based or RTS?? I've been playing TB but sometimes I'm frustrated by my reaction time and now I'm going back and playing the basic training as RTS. Any comments would be appreciated.

The tactics are excellent and you cut thru the 'fog' nicely and keep things moving and explained. I'm new CM and I would appreciate if you could point me to a video that details the gameplay behind one of the scenarios. Thanks again.

I have played Myth probably 50 times, as German against AI. If you assume that the Germans had spies and passed on to the German command, and therefore knew what the plan was, the Germans can win handily. Placement of your defensive units is absolute key. I lost the first time and was humbled at the routing I received at the hands of the Soviets. But with practise the battle can result in a lot of Soviet losses, and therefore a German victory. BTW, I play real time vs. turn by turn as I believe it more closely resembles the actual engagement. It is a really challenging Scenario.

I haven’t played CM since CMBO but I wanted to try this one because I’ve moved to Hawaii and the 100th Infantry Battalion is a big deal here and they were involved in the 1st battle of Cassino. Almost succeeded in taking the town before the monastery was bombed.

Such a pleasure to watch! I'm aware how much work goes into making these and wanted to say if you made some more I would not be disappointed!

You shouldn't have put the smoke, as none of your vehicles(t64bv, btr4) have a thermal image and also you are the one who is defensing and you are setting the smoke for enemy to push. Maybe just played too much ww2 battle I guess?

Very interesting. Im doing some research on 9 Cameronians with 7 RTR support on 26 Jun attack on Cheux to determine the loss of the Churchills. This helps with that, can I ask what references you may have consulted in developing it?

honestly watching your vidoes have helped me improve a bit in multiplayer. Though I have mostly been playing cmcw, the tactics definitely still apply

Soviet tanks struggle due to poor optics and lack of radio. This is historically true. Sometimes a 4 man crew too. T-34 is decent armour, good off-road and gun can be effective against heavier German tanks if you can get up close and personal. Best bet is large attacks across open terrain. Helps with spotting targets to attack en-mass.

Miss your AARs dude

You barely scout, and you like to push tanks forward ahead of infantry. That's why you lost 13 tanks so easily. Your analysis of the terrain was minimum, which lead to basic strategy. That's why you ignored occupying key terrain to the west, which would have suppressed the enemy to cross that 75 points bridge. Your opponent was helping you by not bringing more fire onto that bridge. I would have done plenty of mistakes too, don't get me wrong.

Hey Double Vision...I commented earlier on another Video regarding the awful looking Explosions/Implosions, but it looks much better now.

Hey Double Vision… Great videos, but one slight suggestion. Can you please, please, please get rid of the ugly explosion-implosions, lol. Use another Mod Variant that has a more realistic explosion.

Something's cutting out with the voice over it's a bit hard to discern

Question about the movement path or slight pauses your Sherman was making whilst on the hunt. I assume it was a zigzag movement on normal or slow speed. If so, why do you do it that way? Or was it just the terrain?

Superb voice acting takes this AAR to the next level. I think it also illustrates the disorienting and demoralising effect losing comms would have on an infantry platoon in a large set piece battle. Finally, I like that this action is representative of what Allied armour in Normandy would be doing 90% of the time - not engaging other tanks!

Fun fact, the British did not field M4A4 Sherman tanks (the so called Sherman V) until Sicily, which was of course after the Tunisian campaign. Also, the Germans did not add Schürzen to their tanks until summer of 1943, which means also post-Tunisia. Entertaining video.
